This week was a bit of a landmark week for us.
It had nothing to do with the World Cup, the record summer temperatures or Brexit. It was simply that we put a neat and tidy, three-bedroom home in Scotland on the market.
No great shakes, you might think. After all, estate agents have been doing that since Rob Roy was a lad (probably).
But it was a first for us north of the border – and one which we hope will be first of many.
Our back story
We started small back in 2012. Back then we only had a diminutive portfolio and we focused entirely on the Yorkshire property market from our home in Harrogate.
But the no-nonsense approach epitomised by folk from God’s Own Country seemed to strike a chord and, before long, we were being asked to sell homes from further afield – in London, Birmingham, Nottingham and even across the Pennines in Lancashire.
It’s been a bit of a roller-coaster ride; we’ve sought and found investors who have helped us to grow and it’s fair to say we’re now poised to kick on once more, offering simple estate agency packages with no hidden extras and a money-back guarantee to even more folk around the UK.
But, as we haven’t even started our national marketing campaign yet, receiving an inquiry from Scotland was both a surprise and an unexpected pleasure. It suggests our reputation for simple, honest advice is paying off. We’re already being recommended, even without the assistance of TV, radio or Mo Farah.
Ready, steady, grow
That doesn’t mean we won’t be considering some sort of promotional campaign. We know, if we’re going to take on the Big Boys in the online estate agency sector, we’re going to have to rattle a few cages.
But we’ll try to do it without losing sight of one thing which has already won us awards and which we’ve used as the foundation for everything we’ve achieved so far; good, old-fashioned customer service at a sensible price.
If you like to know more, feel free to browse the other pages on our website or why not drop us a line or give us a call? It’ll be one of us that picks up the phone, not someone in a call centre and, as ever, we promise simple, no-nonsense advice.
